... whilst washing the dishes I had a thought....

Why - in movies - does cowboys (usually the bad, menacing ones), go into the saloon and ask for 'Firewater in a DIRTY glass' ?

Why specifically does the glass need to be dirty ? Rolling Eyes

Because a cowboy that walks into a bar and says "Mr barman, Firewater, but make sure the glass is sparkling clean please babydoll" is a fag. Very Happy

They only do that in comedy westerns IIRC.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Have you been watching 'Road to Utopia'?
It's part of a Bob Hope sketch, afaik. Staple of his routine for years.

Got to agree with this, however I'm pretty sure it goes along the lines of:-

Pathetic cowboy walks into saloon and asks for a glass of milk, to make sure everyone, in the bar, knows he's really a hard case he asks for it in a dirty glass.

I'd be slightly more concerned as to why they are menacing beds... is there something they know that we don't?? Shocked
