I have done a quick search for this so I apologise if it is a repost. I am also sure many other counties do the same.

First off I found this site when I passed a camera van, going over the limit and stumbled across this. Maybe everyone knows about it but THIS BABY proved rather useful for me!

They also talk about this which I found useful...

Quote:

Limit (mph) Fixed penalty (mph) Summons (mph)
20.............................25.........................35
30.............................35.........................50
40.............................46.........................66
50.............................57.........................76
60.............................68.........................86
70.............................79.........................96

£60 and 3 penalty points.

Magisterial discretion (level 2). Maximum of:

£1,000 fine
Licence endorsed – a range of penalty points are applicable
Disqualification
Compulsory re-testing

Like I said sorry if its a repost or you knew about it already, I don't go crazy myself but its nice to know when I can relax and just look for a car as opposed to a camera, fixed or mobile.

Here's the Avon & Somerset maps...

https://www.safecam.org.uk/CameraSites/camera_sites_map.aspx

Although I've heard reports (BBC news etc) that the Bristol Camera Partnership can't afford them and that all fixed cameras in the Bristol area have now been switched off.

Police revenue vans will still be out and about though.

I thought it was rather sporting of them when they started painting the Gatsos yellow. They light up a treat at night too when your headlights catch them. The old grey colour wasn't so clever.
