Hi I am trying to change the oil in my Suzuki Marauder 125 gz, I know that normally I would need about 4L of oil but strangly on the engine its say:850 ml. Dose it quantity of Oil which my bike needs? Its not to less?

It's only a single-cylinder 125, I would have thought that 850ml isn't that far out.

My CM200 twin takes 1.3L, and my GS500 twin takes 2.9L ...

EDIT - just seen a spec for the GS125 which I think has the same engine, and it is 850ml.

Might be worth finding a service manual though, just to be sure...

If the engine says 850cc, then that would be correct if you are changing the filter.

It may take a little less if you aren't changing the filter - I would start with about 800ml, put the filler cap back on, turn the engine over for 5 seconds, turn it back off and then wait 30 seconds, and check the level, adding more 25ml at a time until you reach the right level.

You should be able to check the oil level either with a dipstick that is part of the filler cap, or through a sight glass that will be on the engine casing, near the bottom.

My Yamaha YBR 125 only takes about 1 litre.

my 125 still takes the best part of 2 litres Sad (1800 ml)

I'm building up quite a collection of used oil now Smile

Anyway to the OP what it says on the side is right, but stop short as already pointed out and top up as required
