own a tlr 1000. brake discs r looking shabby but work fine.on ebay wavey disc that look smart but are they any good?? its the price that is the selling point but as anyone bought some for any of there sports bikes??

I personally would never trust something as important as brake discs if they where bought from eBay from China.

It's a bit of a risky one that.

I run Chinese discs on both of my race bikes. But they are solid discs, not floating rotors.


China do use poor quality metal. Fact.


It's down to you really. I would probably get a good, second hand set of genuine discs if I was you.

whenever the topic comes up, among those that have bought chinese discs there seems to be a 50/50 split between those that have had no problems and those that had the discs warp very quickly.

i have seen chines disc that were fitted for the mot fail because there warped! these were brand new!

Thats a heavy and fast bike......you'll be trusting your life to thin bits of chinese metal holding the rotor to the disk Confused

Might be absolutely fine, but i'd rather pay a few quid extra to have something that I know won't snap or warp.
