My old SP1 was obnoxiously loud and I never got pulled once, be considerate and sensible and you shouldn't have too many issues.

I've been OK with my blue flame cans since last July. I have to regularly stop outside a police station at traffic lights on my way home, I just pull off very gently. Thumbs Up

Bandit with a stubby Beowulf can and no baffle, never had any problems in the last year-and-a-half Thumbs Up

[edit]... although I tend to re-fit the baffle for MOT - and even with the baffle fitted, I got an advisory on the most recent test about the noise level Embarassed

My Buell is LOUD and I've never been stopped. I tend to be pretty sensible around coppers though, and its a twin so its a deep resonating sound.

I think there was a scientific study that showed that higher pitched sounds carry further, plus I think there is a psychological thing in Nimby's where they believe that a higher pitched noise from a bike means its going faster and therefore being more antisocial.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

First thing I always do is take the baffle out, where's the fun in baffles?

Keeping baffles in an exhaust is like being offered a free blowjob off a hot bird and then putting a condom on, It's just not logical.

SlimRick - I can cook really well - but it's a useless skill, as I'm not a woman and it's their fucking job!

Baffles you ask?
NO

Pulled twice on that bike... the first time the exhausts megaphones weren't even mentioned..
The second time I was followed by an unmarked viffer, when he stopped me I managed to convince him that I had a better understanding of the law than he did...
So he kindly let me on my way, saying he didn't want to hear them again Laughing
