Aprilia RS 125 temperature and warm up

Hi, new to riding here. Just got myself an Aprilia RS 125, the 2007 one.
I've been looking over the manual and going through the internet but I can't find how to check the temperature for the RS... Anybody know where it is? There's 6 bars that light up to the right of the dashboard but the manual says coolant temperature zone, I'm not sure if that's the one I should be looking at.

Also, what warmup procedures should I take? Just let it tick over for a minute?

Final question - the bike seems to lunge forward when I take it from neutral to 1st gear even though the clutch is fully in. I also find it difficult to change gear sometimes, and it may be because the clutch is dragging, but somebody said it could be to do with the temperatures of the bike and the oil.

Yeah I have the manual but the only thing about temperature is the "coolant temperature zone" which features an icon and 6 bars which light up, can I assume that these bars are the temperature indicators?

Just let it tick over while you put your helmet and gloves on, and take it easy for the first couple of miles keeping it out the powerband.

Its usual for the bike to lurch forwards a tiny bit when cold.

I find it helps if you just pump the clutch lever a couple of times before selecting first gear.

Just put on choke, fire up and let it idle whilst you put gear on.

Also, what warmup procedures should I take? Just let it tick over for a minute?

As above, just ride it gently keeping <5000rpm for about 3-5miles
Start raising the rpm as you see the temp gauge rises.

Mine did it... clutch was adjusted, only did it when it was cold/not been ridden for a while

stop me if im wrong but the lurch into 1st is due to the transmission oil not being warm so it actually transfers a bit of power between the friction plates on the clutch.

But if it's more than a little jump, then the clutch may well be dragging.
