Can i just point out this guys on a 50.... not an R1.

What i used to do on my old 50, was front brake as hard on as humanely possible, stand on the floor so your not sitting on the bike but your can apply pressure, push your nuts as close to the yoke as you can (on your since its a offroad style, if its got a 'proper' tank push against the tank protector.

Revs nuts off and slip clutch out until back spins.

Basically.

And no it doesnt look that good, 50cc stunting never looks good, we just think it does.

Dunno, that kid consistently scraping his L plate at the Ace yesterday was quite impressive.

That's to be expected if you stand behind a bike doing a burnout

I was stood in the carpark at the Ace yesterday when four of the buggers did a burnout, all at once ... I got covered in rubber, LOL. Couldn't bear to move, though ... it was TOO cool Laughing Laughing Laughing

burnouts on 50's are easy, as are donuts, stopies, and wheelies,

burnouts. on my old crosser (rieju spike RJ) i could do them sitting slightly up on the tank both feet on the pegs (as i was slowly trying to do rolling burnouts, never could though Sad ) just pull the throttle right back and drop the clutch, make sure your tyres aren't to warm though otherwise you will be poping a wheelie!!!

i tried a burnout on ma restricted vfr400r the other day and my god it looked so much better than a 50cc burnout and i was only in 2nd gear Shocked also been trying wheelies but there a little harder than on 50's. stopies are practically impossible as the front 'twin disk' brakes are the biggest pile of shit, hell my single pot single disk on my 50 allowed me to stopie from full speed to nothing like a pile of piss :o

but yea stunts are cool

Stunting...Lesson one:- Static burnouts.
Apply the front brake on a warmed front tyre. It usually necessary to warm the front tyre or it will push instead of gripping. Alternatively put the front tyre against a wall if you don't have the confidence to hold your bike up on the front brake.
Lean forward on the bike, better still, stand up (you must push down on the bars though!), thereby removing all or most of the weight from the rear of the bike.
Rev the engine to the normal RPM that you would use to pull away & slip the clutch until the front of the bike is loaded up (ie. the front forks are compressed) then rev the bike up to the point where the bike's power normally comes in & drop the clutch. It's important to do this rapidly as otherwise the bike can bog down if you let the revs drop or the clutch drag too much, plus it doesn't do your clutch any favours loading it up like this too much & you burn that out instead of doing a burnout! Thumbs Down
Once you've got the wheel spinning then you can get sit on the bike & get used to the balance of it.
You can also change up the gears too if you really want to make some smoke. The way to do this is to load the gear lever with positive pressure & drop the RPM slightly, the removal of full load on the gearbox will cause the selector to engage the next gear. Never try to use the clutch to change gear....the wheel will just stop!
Lesson two:-
Once you mastered that then it's time to move on to being proper cool & do a rolling burnout. This is essentially the same thing BUT you really need to get used to the balance of the bike & you also need to get used to controlling the bike's forward speed by using pressure on the front brake. Normally when you use the front brake you'd use 3 or 4 fingers I'd guess, when you do a rolling burnout you only use 1 or 2. The reason for this is so that you have more grip on the bars to control the balance & direction of the bike.
What you do is this, release the pressure from the front brake a little bit & the bike will still be spinning but will also move forward slowly, provided you've only let it off a little bit. Keep your weight well forward or you are going to have a bike that will try to spit you sideways. Again it is important that the front tyre is warm for this trick.
Doughnuts are easy. Just spin up the bike & with your weight over the front end turn the bars slightly & lean the bike too. The result is that the the gyroscopic forces will force the bike to turn in the direction that you have pointed the front wheel.
Happy stunting Thumbs Up Mr. Green

Some of us will be rallying this weekend at the Pissed Indian, including Hellkat.

Otherwise, a get together is a good idea!
