Chances are I probably won't end up doing this as I have already spent way to much on the shitty thing
But if I did choose to, what size wheels would I get, with what size tyres? The brakes are strong enough as they are and would look bigger on smaller wheels anyway.
Would I have to change the gearing as the wheel will go round more times? (probably not )
On the subject of gearing, my bike did 50 screaming its head off with pull left, so I went as size up on the front. This made it do 55 with still screaming but obviously smoothed out the power (what power there is ) and made the acceleration slower. A mate claims his does 65 and he doesn't seem like the lying type. He was clocked by someone on a kmx 200 so is there the possibility it was out by 5mph? Meaning that I could go up a size again and they would be about the same speed?

My sm has 17' rims front and back, tyres: 100/80 - 17 on the front and 130/70 - 17 on the rear.

Doubt it, will probably affect the speedo though.

On standard gearing mine used to pull 45 comfortably, 50 screaming its testis off, with an extra tooth on the front there was no noticeable difference. when my standard rear sprocket (53 teeth I think) wore out, a friend of mine gave me the sprocket off of his old Derbi which was a 48 tooth. It will now pull 50 in fifth, and if the conditions are good e.g. no wind, flat road then she will go off the clock (maybe around 55).
