Well, since working for Warburton (Bakery) for 2 months, I'm eating more fruit and veg because my body doesn't feel to good! I use to eat chicken burger meals everyday, and am starting to try fruit and veg now because I feel really tried after a 12 hour shift.

I am really keen on Mango's, really yummy when ripe, and sour ones are great with fish sauce and sugr (Vietnamese thing) and am not keen on banana's. Never have been keen on them for some reason.

https://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0bhyjZSFCBE/S27qWq_Yi0I/AAAAAAAAAJ4/l0PJ3r80Xv8/s1600-R/mango.jpg MMMMMmmmmm

I never use to eat Veg at all, but I am loving cherry tomatoes for their sweetness and juices and hate spinach for the lack of flavour.

I like all fruit and veg apart from fresh tomatoes.
So cooked toms are fine. Toms sliced and in a salad/butty i can put up with and eat, but ask me to bite into a fresh tomato..worse if it's one of those cherry toms....can't do it. Sick

I try every now and again.

I'll go with mangos for a fruit of choice followed closely by proper papaya - big ones, not the nasty little ones they sell here in supermarkets.

Veg? Humm. Like most. Asparagus and spinach would be a first choice

I am thinking of growing some tomotoes again, but they didn't taste as good as super market ones. I grew 2 sunflowers as well but they died when the cold hit and only the middle was edible.

Strawberries are an option too, mmmmm.

I get a weekly delivery from here:
https://www.riverford.co.uk/
The difference in taste compared to supermarket veg is unbelievable. I've never been a huge fav of veg and much prefer a slab of meat but this stuff is gooooood, and I've tried stuff I never would normally.

Lol I was exactly the same up until recently, I think I've overcome the trauma now, although there is still some trepidation each time I pick up a cherry tom to eat.

I've started eating a lot less shit and more good stuff of late, including way more fruit and veg - I was lucky to get 5 a week let alone 5 a day.

But favourites have to be strawberrys/blackberrys/raspberrys. I've recently become intrigued by satsumas/tangerines/nectarines ( I don't know what the difference is?!).

Veg can just go fuck itself though, I eat it through necessity but to be honest it's a dull and soul destroying experience. Except potatoes. My fair usually consists of carrots, lettuce, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes, peas... I struggle to think of much else I enjoy. Broccoli was ruined for me when I got food poisoning one time after eating a lot of chicken and broccoli, the combination of squirting watery shite out my arse whilst simultaneously vomiting up half digested broccoli has left it real struggle to get a sprig down since.

Mushrooms rock, season after draining excess fluid ..

Does anyone know of some nice smoothies that don't cost 2.50 a litre !! Rolling Eyes Question Thumbs Up

Surely buying a blender and some fruit and making your own would be cheaper in the long run?

pears, home grown from my tree, but they are a pain to get right. when they are spot on they are lush, when they are not ready, they are horrid.

actually I grow apples, pears, strawberries, plums and tomatoes, but it's the pears I like most

ooooo am craving a banana, vanilla and honey smoothie now!!! It is ridiculously cheap to make them compared to buying them. Getting a yoghurt maker makes it even cheaper.

Veg wise i'm addicted to cherry tomatoes but am reduced to buying them from supermarkets at the moment as allotment is still a 'work in progress'. Have overcome the lack of taste thing by roasting them. Just lob a few in a tray with a drizzle of olive oil they come out gorgeous!!!!

Asparagus is lush. . . .but have to trough it quick as the Tiny person snaffles his then steals mine off my plate! brocolli is the same.

We're both completely addicted to rocket and have it on most things, it's lovely stirred into some pasta dishes or risottos.

Tiny person loves sprouts (bleurgh!) but i make them for him tossed in bacon and apparently this makes them 'yummy'.

I agree about spinach when cooked, but it is really nice raw.

. . . . . .i'm really hungry now Rolling Eyes
