Taken over 2 years, but finally dropped my bike on the road Sad

Silly silly thing - tight hairpin, quite steep uphill as you round it.

Approached wide, changed down (first gear for this, as only just up the road from where I start) and turned in.

Then started revving like anything, instantly lost all speed on the slope and the tipped/turning bike fell slap over Embarassed Didn't know what the hell was going on - revving even harder as I tried to hold it up by the throttle Embarassed Embarassed

I'd got neutral, not first Rolling Eyes

Obligatory Paint diagram:

Damage - thanks to R&G bungs and my massive uncool topbox, limited to a split hand guard and my pride Laughing

Keep it rubber side down, folks - saves a lot of swearing Wink

That's got to be the best paint diagram yet Laughing

Glad the damage is minimal/feck all... bet you check the neutral light from now on Thumbs Up
I nearly had a simmilar FECK moment at the weekend but realised and gave the gear lever a swift stamp, first unexpected neutral since my MOD2 Embarassed

Possibly slightly less embarrasing than forgetting to put the stand down when parking.

It's surprising how far away from the bike you can get before you hear the impact.

Related: Forgetting to put your foot down at the lights. Embarassed
