I doubt it does actually. The bike was only stored in the house for six days.

Not actually keep it in the house if the bike is a runner, but have had two under various states of repair in the house. CB400/4 cafe racer lived in my kitchen for about 3 years, and had a GPZ1000RX engine scattered around the living room, kitchen and conservatory, in labelled plastic bags.

Mate of mine (dead now) at one point kept two Vincents in his living room Shocked and I was always stepping over bits of bikes when I went there.

The house always smelled of engine oil, mmmmmmmm.

He "tidied up" his yard once, and found the skeletons of 15 MZ's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this something to be proud of, one asks oneself, LOL. There were at least a dozen other bikes in various forms of resurrection at any one time.

Hi

At one time I had 3 bikes in the front room, and rebuilt one after having had the frame powder coated. Also rebuilt a GPZ500 engine on top of the cooker once (well, it was a solid surface in the warm, and we could use the microwave for a week or so).

All the best

Keith

The missus went mad when I left my rear wheel in the kitchen.

She would rip my lungs out if I brought the whole bike in. Shocked

Hehe, well I made it clear I wasn't leaving my bike outside when we went on holiday. I managed to wheel it on with only minimal damage to the plaster on the walls and minimal chunks in the doorframes Laughing . .

Gav does it. Razz Then again, if I had a tarty well polished bike, I wouldn't be leaving it outside when I went away! (actually, I probably wouldn't leave it outside when I was home either, some pikey would scratch it) Confused

Built my first chop in the front room of my house. Also had an XS250 in there til I sold it. My mate had his Harley in the hallway for a while.

We had a very perplexed copper come round on night. He didn't believe the reports he'd had of bikes being revved inside the house.

The last rebuild I did on the chop was done in my bedroom. I decided to hurry up and finish it when Kel started using the handle bars as a clothes hanger Rolling Eyes

Now I have a garage. And the car is going nowhere near it. Very Happy

Cheers,

Byrnie.

I have been thinking about putting my bike indoors while I go away, but am not sure if it will fit through our narrow hall. I spent ages constructing a sort of ramp to get the bike up into the back garden the other day as it is up a couple of steep steps. After losing a good couple of pints of sweat I got it to the top of the ramp, at which point I realised that the gate is too narrow for the bars to fit through Mad My only option now is to try to jump the 8 foot wall in a Steve Mcqueen style!

Years ago when I was in the RAF I had my RD250 in my room when I built it, made bull nights fun did that.
Later on in my RAF career I had a Z650 in bits in a locker in my room & I lived in a house near RAF Odiham when i was based there where the guy who owned it built his Harley chop in the front room & he still keeps in the corridor of his bungalow today. Whilst he was building his chop I was building a Triumph chop & all the bits were under my bed Laughing
