For example, if the formula that produces the error is =A1/A2, use =IF(A2=0,"",A1/A2) to return an empty string, or =IF(A2=0,0,A1/A2) to return 0.

So...
=IF(D12=0,0,AVERAGE(D12:D36)) |
This worked. Just need to try to remove the error now from a calculation which takes a number fro
Each of twelve sheets. This equation only seems to work for the sums on the same sheet. Unless I'm doing it wrong.
Something like
=AVERAGE(january!G10,feb!G10.... Etc )
But they aren't filled out yet and so get an error. Forthe previous calculation I have nominated a cell that is related to the final outcome of the sum. Eg if the sum require a number from g1 and h1 but h1 get and number from i1 and k1 I've picked the appropriate cells so that when you fill out the box the error doesn't have a chance to become apparent. I wouldn't want to wait twelve months for a final figure for this one. I want it to take an average of the numbers that are there not including blank cells obviously. Can I do some sort of only consider if it's >1 ?? |
