Tough one.

TBH its not something you'll be able to talk her round, especially as she's not 'new' to it.

Just try to make it acceptable - do you commute on the bike - explain the time /mpg savings, point out that technically horse riding is more dangerous. That kind of thing

Failing that, "okay love I'll sell the bike - Ive had my eye on a microlite / matching pair of base jumping wingsuits for a while so we can do something together"........

Not much you can do, it is dangerous, it is expensive and it is time consuming.

We have bikes for several reasons, sense of freedom, performance for cheap, cheap mode of transport, filtering in traffic, ease of parking etc etc. Pick which ones apply to you and let her know why you have one and that you will not be getting rid of it.

Far too dangerous.

She'll have you on this, if you beg for the money hard enough

As Chri5 said... Tits and Gary have not been introduced properly.

Seriously though, tell her to jump in the shower. Obviously some sand has managed to get into her poontang and that's what started to make her moan about things (such as your bike).

My mrs wasn't too happy when I told her I was gonna look for another bike.

We were in the back of an abulance right enough, after some cow put me over her roof. The mrs was a couple of cars behind her with the wee yin at the time.

Tell her she should have told you that 3 years ago.

I find several threads about missus/GF who is against having motorcycles. I might not be able to have bikes if I had got married. I may have to think I'm happy that I'm single and can spend as much as I want for my hobby.

Ask her what's made her think this suddenly..has she heard of someone dying in a crash? seen a scary film with a bike crashing?...or, is thinking about having k-i-d-s and doesnt want anything to endanger the love gravy donator?

Find out what's going on in her head then reassure her of your experience, training etc...

DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR BIKE - under any circumstances. Reassure her by doing a bike safe or something similar. Don't regale her with stories of how you got your knee down doing 100+ or similar. Instead tell her how enoyable you find sedate, safe riding, then comment on how nice her hair / shoes / bag is and is she looking slimmer? Then change subject - repeat as often as necessary

Alternatively leave her.

Thumbs Up

Thats unfair saying that after all this time, surely she wouldn't like it if you asked her to give up something she likes doing.

It's fair enough her disliking you going out on the bike because shes worried about you.

As long as she doesnt say 'get rid of it' i wouldnt worry Laughing

I'd get myself a real women. Seriously, it's only a matter of time before the "it's me or the bike" speech. You'll end up with no bike and a fuck load of kids. A pussy whipped bikeless future awaits you. Fuck the bint off and find yourself a women that either A: Rides bikes or B: is a pillion addict.

(I'm not sure that pillion addict came out right but you know what I mean).

And no, I've never had to put up with crap like that from a gf. In fact Mrs Flip, moans that we don't do enough on the bike.
