Quote:
A 20-year-old has written off his dad's £275,000 Gumpert Apollo after taking it for a spin in Germany.

He lost control of the rear wheel drive supercar on a sharp bend near Brokdorf, just north of Hamburg.

After the crash the driver's door ended up 100ft (30m) away and the car was described as a "total loss".

The man was driving with a 19-year-old female passenger and both of them walked away from the accident with minor injuries.

Police are investigating whether he was speeding when he lost control of the car on the 50mph road.

The Gumpert Apollo has a top speed of 225mph (360kph) and goes from 0 to 60mph in less than three seconds.

guess he was trying to impress his bird

Nahh wasnt speeding at all. Car doors have a tendancy to fall off and fly 100ft after a crash at normal speed limits.

0-60 in 3 secs, very impressive. That is bike type acceleration, with amuch bettef top end. Okay it does cost a lot but for a car to do 3 secs 0-60 is quite good.

It may be an impressive car, or an ex impressive car as the case may well be. But its not exactly a shaggin waggon though is it? I mean Mr more money than sense is in a club and picks a girl up and they go outside to the car and she asks what it is. The moment she learns that its not a Lambo, Porsche, Ferrarri, Masserati with their well known respected names he will lose a little cudos points. Even wose when she finds out its a Gumpert.

Gumpert. Thats even less sexy sounding than vauxhall if thats possible!

pretty hard not to be caning it in a car like that, just tickling the throttle its going to be quick
and judging by the state of it I'd say he was going well over the limit

Stig got one out of shape and hit a tire wall on Top Gear and only cracked the front grill
from the picture theres no barrier and open fields either side of the road
looks like its flipped a few times as the front end looks as if its totally gone

If he was my son and insured on the car then fuck it, shit happens I'd be glad he's okay. If he wasn't insured theres not a chance I would leave the keys in the house or infact anywhere that isn't locked or on me. I'd be shitting on his bedroom floor and making him clean it up with his teeth for the foreseeable future.
