Took my busa into trade it in today and rode out on my new toy, a street triple R.

Nothing unusual,

Given the running in shite off a very pretty sales lady (took no notice of what she was saying, but ogles her bum while she was walking round the bike Laughing )

Anyway shot off, rev lights come on at 5000 and rev limiter kicks in at 6000. WTF. Went back and said about this.................................

She said, and I quote,

Did you not listen to a word I said

No Embarassed The rev limiter and lights are set till the 500 mile service then reset to the normal levels.

OK says me.

Other sales man (once she is out of ear shot)... 'she does have a stunning ass doesn't she'

Was I so obvious Laughing

I'm more than a bit jealous. The number one bike I've been lusting after for the last few months has been a street triple. It doesn't help that there's one parked up at Uni when I walk in every day.

Get some pics up.

What's the reason you went for the street triple rather than the speed triple?

Pics tomorrow

Really a toss of a coin whether the bigger engine or a very light fun bike.

I hope I've picked the right one!

The busa was becoming hard work. My knees and back would hurt after 100 miles and the utterly superb engine doesn't make the rest of the experience OK.

That's fair enough Thumbs Up

Street triple is a fantastic bike, 675 is perfectly capable on the road!

Had a wee shot on one a wee while ago, sound fantastic and really comfy... i'd love one if i could afford one Sad

Seems like the in thig ATM. A few bikers on MCN Ninja's have done the same.

Just wondering how the seating is like to a Hornet? I have been on Hornet's and found them comfy and decent power too.

Join the club!

You can change when you want the lights to come on. Saying that if I could fault anything on the bike it would be the control panel, it's not at all intuitive and I end up having to look at the manual every time.

They are fantastic bikes but coming from a busa the huge power difference may take a little getting used to.

I had a fiddle with suspension for the first time last week in preparation for Silverstone and stiffening everything up from stock has made a great difference.

Enjoy.

Awesome, they are fantastic bikes! Bit of a change from the Busa.

I still can't get over how light mine feels, it's like pushing around a pedalbike compared to the Thunderbird!
