Right, I have a week left to try and think of everything I'll need for when I go away.

I've got the obvious-summer clothes, shoes, sun cream etc

Can anyone think of anything else I might need-I know I'll end up forgetting stuff!

My quick-pack list goes like this:

Essentials
* Passport
* Money/credit cards
* Travel insurance docs
* Hotel confirmation (if you have booked a hotel) (which I invariably haven't, LOL)

Clothes
* Knickers x 3; Bra x 3 (matching)
* Spare knicker/bra set, slightly saucier variety (just in case ya get lucky)
* Jeans
* T-shirts x 2
* Tracky bottoms
* Posh dress (see item 2 in this list) (but usually I end up wearing):
* Sarong (dead useful, hides a multitude of sins, and reveals the same multitude when it suits, too)
* Trainers
* Flip flops
* Nice heels (see spare knicker/bra set)
* Socks (for comfort on flight)

Other stuff
* Moisturiser
* Anti frizz serum (!)
* Lipstick
* Mascara/eyeliner
* Toothbrush
* Contact lenses/solution/specs
* Shades

Ready to go!

What you have to do is PACK, then go back thru and chuck out at least a third of what you have packed, cos you will never use it.
Even with the above list, I've been known to edit the contents of my suitcase. Depends on how long you're going for, though, cos I see you're going for two months, so you might like to add a few more items

Its dead good if you can get it all into your handbag and a flight bag, cos then you can just go Carry On, and don't have to worry about standing round in the stupid bloody baggage halls. Makes ya feel like an air hostess, zipping thru Passport Control and straight out to Arrivals.

Although did manage to get one last year, just wandered round the country a bit and stayed with various bikersweb people. Was fun.

You could always go to France . . . I know of a Virago rider not a million miles from me who's looking for a pillion/companion, and now you're single, you'd be a very welcome addition hmmmmmmmmmmm riding shotgun.

Chances of it happening are slimmer than my bank balance though, I've fought that one off before.

Had a hectic year this year with diesel, lots of rallies and stuff, so taking a wee bit to let me credit cards cool down.

Normal service will be resumed next year.
