So ever done something other than speeding in the presence of police and been pulled but let off?

Tonight i went to Ace Cafe and then onto "the track"(a curved road with roundabouts at either end and the aim is to KD the roundabouts) and i done a lap and towards the end a car was up my arse and so i slowed then done a wheelie, cue blues and twos. After a little natter and a lecture he left me alone with just a warning not even a S59.

Your turn!

Not really been pulled by police but this happened the other week..

Someone round my way had a Black moped front/back L plates etc which looks very similar to my moped and the person in question failed to stop for them and rode down a redway..

I know the kid who did it, but because my moped looked similar and they had seen me riding it that day and checked it on the thing (came back insured, valid licence, taxed etc) so they came to my house, walked in (door was shut) told me that I had just failed to stop for them and as they chased me I made off down a redway. I was like your having a laugh? I haven't even seen a police car today and even if I did I would of stopped because I haven't done anything illegal and as to riding down a redway, Why would I do that when i've spent nearly 1k getting my moped on the road! He goes well we're reporting you for the offence anyway as we believe it was you because we have CCTV footage that it was you. I was like huh? then they goes oh lets see the moped, showed them it. They goes oh yeah thats definitely the bike that made off from us and rode down the redway. I was like it clearly isn't because I haven't even been out on it for the past hour and this incident happened half hour earlier, tried explaining this to them but they didn't want to listen.

So anyway, waited to see if anything came of it and they saw my brother in the street one day and goes oh your brother was packing it when we came round the other day, we only came round to scare him into admitting it.

assh0les tbh! and they had the cheek to send 7 coppers round. 7 coppers to see about a kid whos supposedly been riding around redways and failing to stop when much worse crimes could be happening!

In the end, the kid who it actually was admitted it to the local community officers and nothing came of it, was well p1ssed off though!

So they memorised your plate all day? Then illegally entered your house? And also didn't get the registration of the offending bike? on the ANPR when they tried to stop them?

CCTV footage that it was you.

The same footage that I assume you mean was recorded from the car? that they would have used to record the original offence? Including the number plates?

So you and your family are known to the police anyway? And the same coppers stopped just to tell your brother this?

Really?

There have been so many instances where i have been passing cars at very high speed then noticed one of those cars is an unmarked police car. Obviously you don't overtake that one and they can't really prove you were speeding, but one day i won't notice Laughing

I did! Embarassed at between 112 & 120 (so they say!)

Got a 14 day ban!

anyway back on track.......on the M25 many moons ago when I was 17, on L plates (turned them round), I didnt have tax either. They must have been on their way home as they told me to leave at the next exit! Very Happy

My brother got stopped riding on the pavement whilist on L plates with his helmet less GF on the back Rolling Eyes at 1am
They were rubbing their hands when they were adding to the list, til they found out he was 200 metres into a private road! Laughing

I overtook a marked police car at 127 (indicated - topped out on the GPZ Laughing ) at 3am on the A1.

They caught up with me and pulled alongside me, gave me a SLOW DOWN signal, and that was the last i heard of it.

I waited for a month after that absolutely terrified i'd get a NIP through the door.

Years ago they had a set of temp traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, round the back of Chelsea Harbour. I went that way to work and back every day, and often into town at night as well, so I figured I was pretty much aware of the character of the traffic at any particular time. The temp lights seemed stuck on red, and I didn't want to sit there, so I ran the red and came round the corner to find ... plod sitting on the other side of the barrier.

They pulled me over, of course, and I told them that I was low on petrol and that I didn't want to stop in case I had to push it up the hill.

I somehow managed to blag it that I just wanted to get it home (further down the same street), and as long as I got it to there, if the bike conked out on me, I could push it to the petrol station at the end of the road (at that time there WAS a petrol station on the edge of Wandsworth Bridge).

So they let me go with very little eyelash batting or lipsticky pouting required on my part.

But they did come round the block to check that I lived where I said I did. Bastards Laughing

I was once stoned off my ass driving a car full of weed. Stupid i know, but it was 3am and i had to go about 2 miles to get home so chances of me even seeing another car were very low. Only i did see another car up ahead. As i got closer i noticed it was a police car going quite slowly. I kept my distance which may have made him suspicious. At the next roundabout he did a full 360 slowly hoping to follow me down which ever exit i took. I saw this coming and sloooowly approached the round about so that i had to give way to him, then took whichever exit he didn't. Gutted mate Laughing

Also had another car full of weed incident at uni. Well i had 4 8th's on me but more like 9 ounces back in my room. I was heading over to see a mate who lived in halls the other side of a main road. A police car was heading down the road i was about to enter. I saw the 2 coppers both look at me, one mouthed "that one" the other "Yeh" and the police car pulled over into another junction and did a u-turn so if i went left OR right on the main road they could follow me and pull me over. Thankfully the turning they just did a U-turn in was the one i wanted, so i just drove right passed them smiling Laughing

God i miss driving everywhere baked. It's like playing the worlds most immersive driving simulator.

About an hour ago, 71 in a 40 (A4) reported for excess speed, so that will be 6 points and/or a disqualification, lovely... Rolling Eyes

Where are the lenient, common sense coppers when you need them.

Because i was doing 5mph over what the ACPO guidelines say can be dealt with by points/discretion/speed course i now have this shit for the next 5 years, arbitrary, lowest common denominator bullshit.

This is the kind of shit that makes someone ride at night like a cunt without plates on with no intention of stopping...

On reflection, my fault for not spotting them, poor obs.

They're clearly all in Essex, I got speed gunned at 87 in a 50 and got given 3 points and £60 at the side of the road.

I sometimes believe that they do this cause they know sommits not quite right and a half decent solicitor would get it thrown out, so they go for the " hopefully they'll take the fixed penalty punishment!"

I'd still go for it thou, rather than gamble!
