im wanting to build a little toy for the daytime something along the lines of a supermoto pitbike just for the fun factor but i have a few questions.

1) I have seen vin plates on the net so is it possible to have the chassis numbers stamped onto a different frame using these vin plates, the reason is id like a decent frame but the ones i found were cheap crap.

2) i know theres no such thing as a daytime mot just a normal mot but with no lights so whats the least i can have for mot is it a brake light and horn, and am i right to think that a speedo is not an mot requirement but is a legal requirment.

3) where can i get the tv programme mrs brown on dvd ?

1) I suspect you'd have to put it through a MSVA test unless the pitbike you're basing it on happens to have UK type approval.

2) For an MOT. If it is a single seat bike designed substantially for off road use, the minimum you need is a horn.

3) www.amazon.co.uk

Off road vehicles do not need to be sva'd or anything just provide proof of age and mot (will be mot on frame number), usualy proof of age can be determined from tenth digit in frame number.

horn and reflector is bare minimum, but i would fit a brake light after mot time for safety sake, indicating with arm signals is easy enough but braking is another story when your waving an arm about mid corner even more so on a little pit bike.

Some universal rear lights have a reflector incorporated in the lense, you just disconnect the brake light wire for mot they are easy to wire off banjo bolt/ hydraulic type switches.

If you want a decent frame buy a honda one or an aftermarket frame from bbr.

Changing vin numbers will just lead to issues getting a reg, if your lucky you might get a q reg but i doubt it, rivited on vin numbers are usualy only accepted if it has a matching permanent/stamped in frame number.

If you are after something to prat about on get yourself a non runner crf100 you should be abled to fit a ohc 125 in it easy enough, that with a 125 pitbike carb and silencer will be a nice little bike, you can use the bigger generator to run lights too.

yes i think i didnt explain my self very well lads and lasses.

would there be a problem if i bought a cheap road legal frame from say ebay gumtree ect and transfered the vin plate to something like an aftermarket bbr/ooracing frame i know technicallly its a ringer but in the real worl there would be no implications although this sounds very dodgy whats the difference if id have crashed and needed a replacement frame.

sorry if this barble sounds daft and im all ears to you all thankyou.
