Can anyone recommend a decent brake pad manufacturer? I've not bought bike brake pads before so don't know!

My bike is a 1997 zx6r f3

Cheers

When I had the bike, I used some Vesrah HH compounds and Bendix HH compounds. Once warm, they were very sharp at stopping the bike.

The 4 pot tokicos are nowhere near as troublesome as the 6 potters, so it's all good.

Don't bother going for the race pads since you won't be putting sufficient heat into the pads for them to work within their optimum range. At least not for the roads!

You can't go far wrong with the OEM pads on most bikes really. I have ferodos in atm but will be using OEM at the next change.

I was also just about to say, OEM! I was VERY surprised when my OEM Nissin branded pads for the blade came out 5 quid cheaper a side than the EBC HH's. After all, the brakes were designed for those compounds.

For the budget option, people seem to be getting good results with Gold Fren pads.

But yeah, for hondas, stick with stock IMO. I've tried brembos, galfers and found that on the whole, the Nissin stockers offered the best value for money and performance.
