I've currently got a KBC Tarmac in hi vis yellow/green.

I fancy treating myself to another helmet for the longer trips I do on my CG. The KBC fits fine and is faultless apart from digging into my forehead after an hour or so (or atleast that's when it becomes noticeable?)

Anyway.

I've seen this skid lid on eBay I quite like the look of, has anybody had one or has one? Any good? Steer clear or?

Bluetooth flip front jobby.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/V-CAN-V210-BLUETOOTH-MB-FLIP-FRONT-MOTORCYCLE-HELMET-LG-/220724569993?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Helmets&hash=item336435a789

What kinda batteries will I need for it? Confused

Also, I'm unlikely to buy off eBay, I'll try find a shop selling the same one and try it on for size.

Any info appreciated,

Cheers,

Steve.

The V-Cans come with a rechargeable battery in them already.

I've got one in silver, not the flip front one you posted, but it fits better than all the helmets I'd tried on so I bought it. £80.

Awesome.

How would I go about recharging the battery? Mains lead included? Or would I need to purchase a generic battery charger..?

Also, what's the battery life like and am I likely to need to replace it after a while?

Thanks for the info man.

Cheers,

Steve.

I would suggest one of these https://www.jc-motorcycle-accessories.co.uk/shop/1309/4/hjc_is-max_bt_flip-front_helmet_-_silver.htm

I think they are a better quality helmet.

Cheers!
That HJC one looks awesome, I love the Anthracite one.

What are they like for batteries and stuff then?

And it says it has recesses for the speakers, does it not come with them?

And is there any sort of Mic in it for the use of phone conversations etc?

Cheers,

Steve.

Really like the look of that IS-MAX, but I've just spotted the FS-MAX. It's a bit more expensive, but is it a better lid?

I work for Dyno Rod too, so I thought the orange would be quite novel. However I was just out for a spur of the moment hi-vis helmet purchase for night time riding (which has now become my all day everyday helmet and I actually think it looks a bit daft) and the shop I was in only had the greeny yellow one Sad Sad.

Seriously tempted with the FS-MAX.

Edit: Cheapest one I can find in my size: https://www.bikersdirect.co.uk/Roof-Boxer-V-Red_ALJDH.aspx

Looks awesome.

That roof lid does look cool in an odd sort of way. Think you would look almost birdlike somehow?? I want one too! Mr. Green

I've got a HJC IS-MAX, had it over a year and it's pretty great.

I foolishly went for matt black rather than glossy, so it's got a few marks and scratches. Still served me very well though.

Now I'm torn between two!

I love them roof boxers.

BUT I've just stumbled across the OSBE Tornado?

2 visors, removable chin piece.

Both visors full size. One clear one dark. Awesome.

Obviously not ACU Gold for track use but it's ECE 2205 or whatever it is thats needed for the road.

Spot on. Looks dead cool.

A mains lead is included with the helmet, takes about 3 hours for a full charge, and I've used the helmet for a week without needing to recharge.

I've had my V-Can lid 6 months now, battery doesn't seem to have degraded yet. Hope this helps.

I also have the v210, love it. Try them on in a shop first though, my head is a funny shape (bit like a peanut) and the VCans are the best fit for me so maybe not for everyone.
