Sinnis bikes

A coworker's husband has just bought a Sinnis Max, which looks like a YBR with a GS125 engine. Having a quick look around it, it seems to be well built (i.e. discs not stamped out of biscuit tin lids) and it didn't sound like it would disintegrate once you got over 3000rpm.

As far as I know, they're made in Malaysia, chinese frames but Suzuki engines - anyone know anything about them (other than the standard "it's a chinkee, it'll kill you, empty your wallet and rape your cat")?

MCN has reviewed a couple and liked them, at least new. Sorry, I have no idea how well they last, but I'd err on the side of over-servicing.

I've ridden a friends Sinnis Stealth, thats still going strong... last time I saw him it was on about 13,000 miles, light corrosion on tiny bits like chrome handle bars.. but all in all still running really well

a couple of years back i stumbled on a bike place who sold lots of second hand bike and new sinnis's. Said they would'nt touch most chinese imports but they had heard good things, got a few in and were more than happy with the quality of the bike and parts avaliable.

Sounded to me like these guys were half reasonable and they had found one of the better imports, i did notice that the bikes looked better designed/built than most chinese offerings around. As to how they last, i couldnt help you there...

I know a bloke that had a Sinnis Vista (before he got it nicked).

It was essentially a Suzuki Marauder built under license. It looks the same, it's got the same design engine and apparently it was quite nice to ride. Unfortunately he had it nicked (while he was still paying off the finance for it) and never had to service it or sort out any problems as it was brand new.

my first bike was a GS125 which was a great little thing (well i thought so anyway).

must admit i like the look of the sinnis trackstar - would be ace for bopping around town on.

but then again what 125 isn't?

i suppose the real issue is whether the cycle parts are better than the usual chinese stuff...

Im guessing they bought it from Cooperb looking at your location, as thats the only dealer i can think of that sells them around these parts but the fact that they still do them, and have been for a while must count for something, they wouldnt keep selling rubbish bikes, and throughout the times ive been there they do shift a few

I am a new rider and have a Sinnis Max2, got it in August and so far so good, easy and fun to ride, l would recommend them.

I have this bike and love it, no faults other than a rattle from the chrome(ish) plating on my exhaust which was caused by a crash (not my fault) and its easy to fix t just havent had time yet....is a great bike and it wonr rape your cat
