As i'm moving back in with the missus' family and have a lot of "stuff" (everything from tools to books to computer equipment to course notes and random top boxes...), much of which i'm not going to be able to/don't want to get rid of, i'm coming up against the problem of storage, as there is essentially a small bedroom in which all my "stuff" has to go, which, furniture-wise, has 2 desks and a wardrobe, and currently my tools in several bags on the floor, which is not only messy, but very inefficient use of the space.

What's the most efficient storage solution for this sort of thing (there is room to buy some 2nd hand furniture, i just don't know what) - especially want access to my stuff - nothing worse in my mind that wanting something that's in the bottom box of a massive stack...

Sounds like your ideal solution would be a crazy device where you can stack stuff but retain the ability to access each level, let me have a think.

Stackable plastic storage boxes...Or use the random top boxes...

Unlike Phoenix, I couldn't be arsed to source a picture...
