So looking around, there's not many places in my area that can re-map an open loop bike, so i'm having a bit of trouble gettting the thing set up on (what i think is) the stock can.

Having a bit of trouble with it since i stuck the hugger on, the idle is around 800rpm just now, and when it's moving, any sharp throttle movement makes it bog down a bit before revving, so a noticable delay in power.

Reading up on this, apparently there's a pipe on the airbox to the engine that, if split, can cause terrible throttle response, and oil to go into the airbox, and I've noticed a tiny drop of oil under the bike a couple times after a run from one of the overflow pipes...

I've not had the time to check it out yet, been working constantly, but i'm off over the next couple days so i'll strip down whatever to sort it tomorrow.

Any ideas? i can't find a decent manual for it so the user manual is all i have, and it's not very... detailed...

Cheers

Had it out earlier and it was fine to start with, auto choke doesn't stay on as long as it used to, but the idle speed is absolutely fine till it gets to about 70 degrees... then it drops to just under 1k.

ANY HELP?

Cheers

Triumph dealerships will be able to put the most up to date map on, around £20. Or try and find someone with a tuneboy.

I'd say around 800-850. Thing is it always sat about 1200 till i fitted the rear hugger.

I went to triumph, they told me they could stick the newest map on, but they couldn't tune it to the bike as they didn't have the sensor to stick in the exhaust.

That is just coincidence surely, were you also doing other things to the bike at the time?

Pretty sure if it dips before it pulls its a sign of running rich?

Must be, didn't do anything else to the bike apart from take the rear wheel off and fit the hugger.

Possibly.... £25 to stick the newest map on, i'll go to them and get them to do it when i next get paid.
