Picked this up from off a forum member and rode it 190miles home.

https://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/189663_10150134855167250_797677249_6623905_3432254_n.jpg

Few things that need doing to it....

The paintwork on the mudguard, bellypan and front fairing are pretty bad, so the guard and pan are off to have some new paint and some repair work done. Decided to go for a glossy black again, but some subtle airbrush work in white using the yamaha logo's.... Basicly told the painter what sorta thing im after and told him to run with it!

New chain and sprox kit. Nothing special so i wont bother taking pics of that!

It doesnt quite run how i would like. Much too rich. So expect some progress on that.

The rear shock is shot. So im in the process of putting a zx6 shock into it. Again, pics on progression ( tomorrow most likely).

Just a run down of what to expect. Lots of other little bits i want to do to it!

Very Happy

It begs for some USD forks. Beautiful bike, and that looks like a really nice example too.

It looks better in the pics. The paint work on the front end is a rattle can/almost matt black kinda finish.

I dont intend for it to look 'showroom', i want it to look good (imo) and run how i like.

First thing being taken care of is the handling. The shock is in, it just needs bits making a bit more neat ready for a newer zx6/10/9 shock. Then pics will be up!

Tyres have been purchased.

Ive also got hold of a set of pod filters for it to try. Its running no airfilter at the mo as it runs like a gutless heap with it in. The tank seems that deep i have a feeling itll act like an airbox and create still air underneath it!

Time will tell. Currently buying bits for it so progression on pics is slow.

Classic, but with a case of gigantism.

This is far more appropriate. Wrong bike, yes, but definitely the right exhaust shape. Your ears will thank me, as will your eyes, once they're open.

The exhausts are plenty loud enough!

Slow progress on this. The death of my Grandad has meant my head hasnt been in the right place to get bits done.

Progress since has been just getting it working right. Chain kit is on, as are tyres. The calipers need rebuilding and new pads installing (tips on how to best get the pistons out of these bluespots?!) and it needs new discs as the ones on it are warped. ( anyone with any FZR discs?!?!)

Been doing some fettling with the suspension to get it working how id like since installing the zx6 shock aswell.

Bit of progress.

All ive really been doing is riding it to and from work.

It now has a zx9r shock in it and a new set of discs. The exhaust cans seemed to have stained from a cleaner i used. Thats all polished out now, but alas no pics!

Some vid of it running.

Well some of you may of seen it at the BCF BBQ. Allbeit in the dark!

I dropped the bike off at the painters last week, for a week, for him to start the paint scheme.

I wanted a speedblock design, but just to test to see if i like the use/layout of the design, it has been 'stickered' on for now. Once ive decided on how i want it, itll be airbrushed on.

Here it is in the paintshop, photos taken on a phone camera so nothing amazing, expect some action shots and better stills in the near future!

Actually what do you think about having it more like this? With one solid speed block line.

I wonder if a 350 powervalve engine could be made to fit in the TRX frame? That would be awesome. Thinking

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
