It's a good idea in theory, but we're so widely spread around the country, it might be a bit difficult to do.
(we can't even get it together to take a few photos for a calendar!)

Yeah, but something kind of middle of the country that's easily accessible by everyone would be a plan, would it not!!! Confused

I mean I'm up in Scotland and it would take about 7 / 8 hours to drive to London, so if something was organised for the middle of the country, the maximum travelling time would be about 4 hours (maybe, I dunno, feel free to tell me to shut-up peeps!!!)

If it happened it would have to be in the Midlands somewhere, because it is most central. Even though still a lot of people like me wouldn't be able to go as it is still too far. Smile

People could go if they REALLY wanted to, yeah, it might mean getting public transport rather than taking the bike, but, it's do-able - me thinks!!! Confused

C'mon a bit of positive reaction here folks!!!

Or am I just talking out my arse - as usual!!! Embarassed

We don't have an annual meeting as such;

Luke proclaimed this years Bulldog Bash as the 'annual BCF meet'.

I guess knowing the number of people that actually went, how successful having an annual meet was/is.

TBH the Cadwell trackdays that have been and gone this year were probably the most attended official meetings. I met a great number of people here whom I had not met beforehand.

Alternatively, just turn up at G's house on any given weekend and you'll meet (or perhaps, knowing G's food obsessions, meat would be more appropriate! Laughing ) a load of members. Thumbs Up

Well the reaosn I was negative was becasue I thought you meant a big rideout sort of thing, not just a meeting, if it was public transport I could catch a train. Smile

Rather than a ride-out as such I was thinking more of a 'get-to-gether' like maybe camping in a big field somewhere.

btw - SS, that wasn't a dig at you hon!! Thumbs Up

Wasn't there a central point on that little map in the profiles? I remember a thread about it when Korn was first setting it up. It worked out the central point from everyone entering their post code in their profile. Does that still exist?

Bulldog Bash and Rock n Blues are the official annual meets imo. But weather killed both this year. The new years party is usually pretty big too.

Well I believe there's photos of previous ones somewhere. It's usually a night out in Reading and crashing back at G's, but that does somewhat limit accomodation so it could never be that big. Plus I doubt it's worth riding down from Scotland for Confused Next years rallies are a better bet.

Yeah, Dean's is the most central place if you want to include the Scottish folk and it's also by far big enough to accomodate anyone who want's to go.

Personally, I'd favour a meet where there's something to *do*. Be that a trackday or drag racing or whatever. Travelling hundreds of miles to drink a bit doesn't appeal.

IMO BDB and RnB are (were Confused) the BCF annual meets. However it wasn't weather that killed either off this year. BDB was sunny and RnB was on a good weekend too I believe Confused It was more a glut of apathy Neutral

Nope. I'm fundamentally uncomfortable in the presence of large numbers of people and I'm not a great fan of alcohol.

Each to their own, but not my cuppa tea.
