Hello,

I need tyres

Was after some advice and experience from members of the forum as to how i should go about it.

Should i get some tyres online and then get a mobile tyre fitter to do the biz or should i take it to a garage and get tyres fitted from there?

Any recommendations on who to go to? (price wise) or who does mobile m'bike tyre fitting round the Camberley way?

Suzuki Bandit K2.

Usually works out about the same price, online cheaper tyres + fitting cost = more expensive tyre shop + free fitting to lose wheels.

I've found if you go to a shop they sometimes have deals on 'last years' tyres to make way for the 2011 models, good time to buy now.

You are looking at £10-15 per loose wheel for a tyre change.

A mobile fitter is unlikely to be interested in coming out just to change a tyre if he can't earn anything on selling the tyre as well.

For all the PITA to save maybe 10-15 quid overall I will buy my next set in a tyre shop rather than online.

Get quotes for two tyres fitted at a shop, if you aren't saving more than £45 by buying online it isn't worth it imo.

There is a place near me that sells tyres pretty much identical price wise to those on line.

Its called 'roadwheels' and is in Fleet, probably about 5 miles away from you.

Last time I went it cost me £120 for an 023 fitted. That was including the £15 to take the wheel off the bike etc. So if you took the loose wheel down, probably £110 maybe. That's pretty good going tbh.

I'm going down tomorrow with 2 loose wheel, taking the tyre off one and putting it on another. Will let you know how much it costs.

The guy who works there is decent too Thumbs Up. Helped me out many times before.
