Restrictor in Derbi Gpr 50 Racing carb?

I was removing my air box the other day and i noticed a gold plate with holes in it covering the end of my carb. I have added a photo so you can see, i was wondering if it was a restrictor. If you do know please tell me

It does look like a restrictor to be fair. Some aprilia's had similar restrictions. does it come out easy enough? and can it be put back in once you take it out? I'd give it a shot, but that's me.

No. I think its there to restrict airflow into the carb but not to retard the engine. If you remove it will run like crap. Most carbs have them, My GP1 has one and the Gixxer has a similar plate on the air inlet.

this is removed during derestriction,

derestriction process is as follows

remove brass inlet plate
remove exhaust restrictors the pipes (weld holes that remain) and the big washer near the header,
upjet to a 105 main jet and a 420 diffuser tube and needle,
and a 15t front sprocket is the derbi specifications for derestriction

computid that is the dumbest thing ive heard today (its only 7am so don't feel too bad)restricting the air flow is the same as restricting the engine
that little plate is what a restricter is in every sense of the word,
of course it will run like shit when you remove it, it has been set up to run like that, it will need to be re-jetted
most carbs do not have them, in fact in 25 years of riding and and over double that number of bikes ive never seen that particular way of restricting before

Yes its is a derbi carb for the Derbi D50BO engine. Thanks dobby for the help. Because i bought a gianelli exhaust for my bike and it didnt work, i rejeted it, put a new reed valve in it and put a performance air filter on it. And the exhaust still didnt work, the bike would just stay on 5 thousand rpm and wouldnt move from it :L So i think i know what is wrong

Oh yer, what do you meen by difusser tube and needle? And how many teeth on the rear sprocket? Have you had a derbi before?
