hi all
im new to the community and thought i'd say a few words
im just getting back into biking after a 20 year layoff i never did get round to taking my test i used to ride a 125 on car licence back in the day when you could ride a 125 unlimited ( except for L's).
wish i had taken my test back then looking at all the hoops you have to jump through to get your licence nowadays bring back ride round the block and i will jump out at you for the emergency stop hehe.
in my 10 years of riding 125's i had a cb125 superdream twin(nice and comfy)
a suzuki gs125,suzuki dr125 and a yamaha tzr 125(full fairing).
i rode from kippax to wetherby every weekday to work via the A1 getting on at hook moor if any of you know the area.
really exposed road oh the joy of crosswinds blowing you one way and arctics pulling you the other.
anyway just wanted to say hi and tell you a bit about myself no its not another what bike thread lol i know theres plenty of those threads already and i will be delving into them.
im doing it right this time got my theory and cbt booked and will take it from there probably going to take the restricted route but will take the advice of my trainer in the end.
sorry for the long winded first post looking forward to being part of the community. |

Hi, and welcome back.
That all sounds sensible, except that if you're going down the training route, then I'd suggest that you go DAS. It won't cost significantly more than doing an A2 course, you'll probably find the tests easier on a bigger bike, and you don't have to rush out and get a Hayabusa afterwards.
If you're wanting to do an A2 test and get a restricted license, then you might as well save yourself the cost of training; just get a 125 and book the tests yourself when you're ready. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

yeah im doing the cbt and seeing which way the instructors think would be the best way for me to go.
20 years is a long time not to have ridden but once i get clutch control down again i should be ok never had an accident in the 10 years i rode but there are a lot more traffic on the road now(and dickheads). |
