I had my training today, and it did help me a lot. I've improved considerably with my life savers and can also do U-turns perfect every time. My instructor was very good and gave me many useful tips, before on my u-turns i would look down at the bike or the curb but my instructor said it's best to look where you want to go, so after a few practises it made it so much easier. The instructor said that she's about 90% sure that i will pass, the other 10% is just down to the X-factor (anything could go wrong Confused ). But she said i'm a good safe confident rider Wink .

Every thing seems so much easier than i thought it would be.

Got my test early tomorrow, if all goes well i will be out on my bike tomorrow evening Cool .

I will let you know how i get on.

Thanks for the encouragement Thumbs Up .

Just got back from the test centre.

Well i didn't pass, but i didn't fail Confused . The test was cancelled due to a mechanical failure on the bike, basically the test was going great, the U-turn i did had to be the best yet, the emergency stop was ok but i pulled the clutch in a wee bit early, also had to do a hill start which was a piece off piss.

On the way back to the test centre, must have been 35 minutes into it the indicators switch just come loose and the indicators wouldn't work, and was also stuck on flashing left for quite a while, i pulled over and told the instructor and she said that the test will have to be cancelled Sad .

What annoyed me the most is that i only had to use the indicators 2 more times to get back to the test centre as it was just down the road from there, and the instructor said i would have passed Crying or Very sad. As it wasn't my fault, the place i'm doing my training with and using their bike said they will re-book A.S.A.P for me, i can't blame them as they couldn't have known, why did it have to go then, i was using the same bike for 6 hours the previous day Mad .

Well hopefully shouldn't be long to wait.

Could you not have asked to continue using hand signals? Is that possible?

Unlucky though.

Should have passed or failed you there and then due to the fact you had comleped 75% of the test.

They don't realise that if it happened out on the road after you had took the test you would have to use your arms.

Just out of intrest how did you get back to the test center??

Oh and good luck next time. Wink

Was it your bike or the training school's?

I had a similar thing with my rear indicators on my test. They fell off, the examiner gave me a "i'll give you five minutes or i'll have to cancel the test. I got the old tool kit out (which consisted of gaffa tape and a spanner) and fixed them, still haven't fallen off.

Unlucky with the test though, did the examiner give you the debrief at the end? How did you do, would you have passed ?
