5 minutes before your Mod 1, your instructor will take you up the back alley and whisper in your ear "All that stuff I told you about using the rear? Forget it for the emergency stop, just put your foot on the brake so it looks like you're using it. That way you can't lock it up and get an instant fail."
He may look sheepish while he says this, but I wouldn't bet on it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I remember when I did my CBT a while ago one of the instructors said about the weight shift from braking would engage the back brake as long as I was covering it and have always used that on my 125 so I think I'll stick with that.
thanks for all the advice guys, I really appreciate it |

Also, be progressive with the front brake... Pull it on smoothly (rather than just yanking as hard as you can to jab it on), and you'll feel when it starts to lock up. Useful, as that's a good time to stop pulling harder ____________________ CBT 23/09/10 - Theory 19/03/11 - Mod1 19/04/11 - Mod2 06/05/11
