Just been to Cadwell, mate on his first trackday ever on a ratty 1200 bandit. Goes out in 2 novice sessions and is embarrasingly fast even though he looks like he'll bin it every lap.
So they bump him up to the fast group where he's keeping up and passing people until the inevitable happens. Red flags and he doesn't come in. Van brings him back, rider ok, bike f**cked with holed case and no footrest. He thinks it great that he found the limit and even gets a ticket to say he is fit to ride again (physically if not metally  .
Left him trying to get a mate to bring him down a ZZR 600 to have another go on.
Robbie mate your a star but mad as a bucket of frogs.

I bet he doesnt think hes the next Rossi because he can ride a bike near its limit though

Sounds like a fun day and TBH thats what it all about. Sounds like he needs to get rid of the arse bandit and get a trackbike. I had a bandit6 years ago and the suspension was the worse Ive ever felt.

Think he would get a trackbike if he was a bit younger, never know he might have been the next Rossi

If he got bumped up to the fast group he is definitely good enough to race in Moto GP
I tried to book the fast group recently but my leathers weren't bright enough and I didn't speak enough Italian so they made me book novice.
I was a bit pissed as if they'd let me in the fast group I would have been racing in Moto GP next year.
ps- i'm not stupid I know its a long road to GP racing, I would have done one year in WSBK to learn the ropes.

Haha that sounds like a great laugh, I remember my first Trackday! Mixture of adrenaline and excitement
I haven't been to Cadwell, bit far for me, what would you give the circuit out of 10?
