does anyone know if this is a reputable company cause usually when you pay online there's usually like a locked padlock in the address bar telling you it's a secure site but i don't see any

They were fine right up to the point where two months after taking out insurance with them I tried to cancel my policy and told me that I owed them £75 for the privilege.

I asked them if they actually wanted me back as client, as I was cancelling for the time being - until I got my new bike. They decided to cancel the fee but not give me a refund in the slightest. Felt a bit cheesed off to be honest, as I always pay up front in one hit. Sad

Currently with them, had loads of problems regarding my restricter, they cancelled without telling me etc...

[/broken record]

In summary, they're sh!t, but they are the only ones that would insure me so I had no choice.

And they only work via e-mail, no phone contact.

If your gonna keep the bike the whole year then you should be able to better for the price else where they are expensive, however if you change bikes, add bikes occasionally are looking to maybe change your bike once or twice a year they are quite good because you do it all online and then print the cover note off.

The above is the monthly policy, not sure about the yearly one! Thumbs Up

That usually depends on the browser and type of certificate used to secure the site.

If you're worried about their SSL, you should probably contact them and ask...

I've been with E-Bike for the last three years, had no problems but then I've hadn't had to claim, if I had it might've been different.

I've been with Ebike for years and have found them consistently cheaper than anyone else. Haven't had to claim, so no idea what they'd be like then.

As for cancelling your policy, I think everybody charges for that.

Used them for three years and never had a problem with them, ok they aren't the cheapest and you can't ride other bikes third party ( was something they were looking into as an extra add on policy )...I had the rolling cover ( pay monthly, works out dearer though )

Can't remember who they used for breakdown but the times I needed it they were spot on, only left them as I found a seriously cheaper qoute ( as in a third of what they were charging me )...

But for quick cover and short term cover I can't fault them...

Actually I do indeed have a contact for them...but it's premium rate 0906 736 6520 address: MMT Centre, Severn Bridge, Aust, Bristol BS35 4BL.

Just in case it helps anyone out in the future. Thumbs Up

To the OP, I think you'll find good/bad in all insurance companies. I personally opt for insurance which has breakdown cover included, then it makes it worth it's while.

Yes, they're a proper company. They were cheap for me last year, but the prices went up this year so I switched away - being online only means that you can't play the "match this quote" game with them.

Their advantages are that there's no admin fee for modifying your policy, so if you're chopping and changing bikes you can do it all online and get instant cover, for just the extra premium cost (if any). Also, their range of covered bikes seems to be much larger than other companies - they actually acknowledge the existence of both my Chinese bikes.

Yes, they're a "proper" company, but £75 is their cancellation charge and it's totally insane. Well, very sane for them, they make £££ from it, but for a consumer, that sucks.
