What kind of training course did you take(how long), and how much did it cost you? |

The training helped me loads as well, i paid £180 for a days training with the test included, i thought it was expensive but now i done it i think it was definitely worth the money. Wednesday i was out training from 9am until 4pm, and also from 9 to 12 today just before my test. I have to do my test again as the indicators stopped working on the bike i was using which was the training companies bike, as it wasn't my fault they are paying for me to do it again.
Good luck with your test . ____________________

I passed my test with £0 spent on training, took me three attempts but worked out financially cheaper and the same end result. |

Eat well in the morning, a banana is good for concentration, and fruit juice, bread etc.
Try not to worry too much. Dont rush your riding, take things with a confident, safe, relaxed pace. But be "on the ball". Concentrate 100%, 100% of the time.
Have fun when you are on your test, and make sure you ride like you have been riding in your lessons. Having fun helps you to relax a bit.
Dont worry about the instructor, he will look out for himself. Remember to listen to his/her instructions carefully.
TBH it is not that hard a test. Just take your time, dont make any silly mistakes and have a safe ride.
Good luck! |

Another tip for people taking the test, if you think the examiner has given you an instruction late, do not follow it. You are being tested on your ability to ride a motorbike safely, not on how well you follow instructions.
For example, on my test the examiner asked to to pull in behind the white van. I felt it was too late to do my obs etc, so I carried on. He just asked me to pull in a little later up the road - he didn't mention it, even in the debrief.
This applies to junctions too. If you are in the left lane approaching a T-junction, and you are asked to turn right quite late, just turn left - you will not be penalised.
My instructor actually told me about someone he knew who didn't like making right turns at roundabouts, so each time the instruction was given on the test, he ignored it and went left. There was nothing the examiner could do, and he passed. |

They can also give the wrong instructions. When I first set out on my test, as we were approaching a traffic lighted crossroads, she said "At the next roundabout, turn left", I indicated, looked ahead more and thought "Shit, she's trying to catch me out already", so I cancelled my indicator quickly, waited for the lights to go green and continued straight ahead, she turned left and told me to pull in and turn around in a safe place (was shitting myself by then, hope I hadn't pissed her off - ).
She was fine though, she told me to stop shortly to catch my breath .
I went on to pass with 5 minors. |

THey do tell you where to go, but as the radio was a bit dodgy I asked them what to do if I got to a junction and could make out which way to go. Was told go straight on as it is not a test in navigation, so if they tell you to turn left and you know thats a shitty road then you didn't hear it over the radio did you? |

It’s a fail!!! Why because i lost the bike key took ten minuets to find them. when I went out on me test the first set of lights I got to had 3 arrows left straight on and right these we're filter arrows I went when the right hand one wasn't lit (it needed to be for me to go right and i knew this but panicked when a car was beeping behind me and the instructor so I moved test failed!!! he said stop so I knew I it was a fail ...
then the next bit I did wrong was a different set of lights just before a stop junction he said next right and there was a massive house (didn’t look till after) and on its drive were while lines in the middle I went to go in there realized that it was a house and pulled back into the stopped traffic cars found it difficult to get past me (DOH!!) that was another fail!! other than that I got 1 minor for not looking long enough on a life saver, he said I was very good and he also said next time don't lose the key as it made me nervous, and I did silly things wrong as I was panicking, ____________________ https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/tiggiefriend/11.jpg

Unluckey mate!
I (and many other) failed the first time, also. Give it another go, and you will have a much better chance. |

Shop around Annndy.
A good school will offer you further training for free if you fail the first (or second!) time. Mine did. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |
