Took the sv for a decent ride now that I've passed and I bloody love it. So much better than my old 125 lol.

Crap pictures, all I had was my phone.

Your rimtape clashes with the sky.

Nice that your 1st proper ride was in the dry.

Cheers guys, I'm enjoying it alot at the moment.

Done 40'ish miles in my lunch break at college lol, only thing I didn't like was my wrists ache but I've adjusted my levers and it's pretty much stopped.

Love the fact I don't have L-Plates any more too Thumbs Up

Wrists will get used to it soon enough, it's using muscles you've never used before.

I love being the only bike in the college car park without Ls Smile even though i'm still using the 125

Beware, that was my plan, but my insurers "package" that they have with my underwriters only covers them for up to 125s. So they can't just switch me over to the GPZ, it'd have to be a new policy with a new underwriter (presuming i stayed with rampdale as a broker) which would lose this years NCB and cost about 600 quid for a premium.

My current underwriters WILL insure me on the GPZ, but not under the "package" that they have with Rampdale. In fact, not only will they insure me, but they're the cheapest my far! KGM they are and they'll cover me for £300 TPFT from multiple other brokers.

Basically what I'm saying is make sure you CAN switch over without starting a new policy. Rather than just getting quotes for "that bike that's going cheap on ebay" ring your insurers and ask about changing your CURRENT policy over.

^ Same problem I had when swapping my XR125's insurance over to my SV650.

In the end I just canceled the XR policy, ok so I lose 6 months worth of ncb but it's not the end of the world. 1 to 2 years ncb didn't really make a difference in my qoutes any way still ended up paying £620ish tpft.

Yeah I would have probably done the same had mine been a longer wait. I mainly am putting up with waiting for being able to protect my NCB sooner more than I'm doing it for the actual years NCD.

Got rid of the rim tape since it was wonky and starting to annoy me, gave it a clean after getting caught in the rain.

Laughing Doesn't bother me, I'm 17 and insurance would kill me on anything with "super sports" on it and it needed to be restricted so the SV seemed the best choice.
