I'm the one on the back.

I didn't really think about it at the time but have had an awful lot of people tell me I'm nuts!

I've had the jacket and helmet a lot longer than the bike. Laughing

Not sure they'll look right with my new sky blue Barry Sheene replica GSXR either

I don't remember it being that bad. I didn't go round on my own though and on the back was concentrating on not falling off. My OH did about 10 circuits though and I don't think he said it was bumpy. Only the carousel.

He did ride yams aswell unless the biography's i read were both wrong... also if this picture is photochopped.

Quote:
He shifted to a privateer Yamaha machine, but soon started receiving works equipment. In 1981, Kenny Roberts was the reigning World 500cc Champion for the third time, and Barry Sheene, now on a competitive Yamaha, was determined to regain the championship.

You must be getting a bit blunt in your old age MarJay.

Ok lets change that to:

He only really won anything worthwhile and is most famous for riding Suzuki's.

That is true, I think he only went to yamaha after a big fallout with suzuki anyway, but I've always had a soft spot for those AKAI paint yams.
Drooling

Tit was mild.

Can't believe you think I look old enough to have a daughter you could poke! Very Happy

Sheene rep is going on a GSXR 750. The zx is a tad too tall for me so a mate sold me his GSXR cheap as he's fucked up pretty much every panel. Still not 100% decided on the bodywork but I need to factor in cost and I came acrosss some panels and tank for £450. Reckon it'd probably be more than that to have the panels repaired and sprayed, not to mention the tank.

Yea your right it would cost miles more, i take it the panels you've seen are on ebay? and come as a kit? They can be a bit shit sometimes so you'll have to mod them to fit propperly but they look shit hot when on proper.

They were on eBay but they're not one of those Chinese sets. Just a bloke who used them on track but now says he hasn't the space to store them. That's why there's a tank, this
Chinese kits dont come with a tank.

Pic looks really good but I think your nuts as well.

Went to the 'Ring last year for the WSB and we went and watched cars and bikes going on and coming off the circuit in the evenings.

After chatting to a guy who had brought a BMW s1000 along I realised with the bikes and cars taking different lines theres so much potential for a massive accident.

I would probably do it if they have bike only track days though (not sure if they do that or not).

Still, nice one Thumbs Up
