Just wondering what a rattle from the engine when cruising, but not accelerating wondering what it would be, i've bought new pistons, rings and gaskets and i'm going to leave it into a honda dealer to fit, would there be anything else worth investing in while i'm leaving it in?

Big end might be giving up but that would be more of a knock I'd imagine. Plenty of oil in the gearbox?

Yes it had a service for M.O.T about 500 miles ago would have had the new piston in then but for lack of funds only 11000 on the bike.

Although the gear box lies on minimum untill you ride it for about 5 minutes then its up to full, is that usual, i mean i think its the gear box?

You'll only know how much oil is in the gearbox by dipstick I think so if thats what you mean, like checked it before and after running then yeh its fine. If its been serviced should be fine. If the big end was on its way out or you are needing a new piston at 11000 you must be riding it hard, or theres some underlying fault, oil pump not working correctly or not being cooled correctly low coolant or waterpump not working properly I'm guessing its liquid cooled I'm not too familiar with that particular model.

havent had it long, thinking about it it more like a crackle than a rattle Razz, i was just going to get piston rings for 20 pound but sure for 35 you get a piston aswel, yes its watercooled 2 stroke ands stays fairly cool, touch of oil ontop of coolant so thats why im having this done.
