Looks good, are the forks definitely twisted? I assume if they are it's just in the yokes.
i.e slacken them off, grab the wheel between your knees then move the bars back straight. Then tighten them back up.
The bike looks alright, I love the LED rear lights.
This is the write up for the rebuild I did of my 1989 KX 125: https://www.gaz-racing.co.uk/content.php?page=viewarticle.php&article_id=57
The engine looks very similar.
All the issues thus far look very 'sortable'.

ive had the front wheel off and checked the forks and the left side(caliper side) fork is bent backwards a good 3cm and my axle has a S shape bend in it now but ive sourced some new ones for £45 so it wasnt as bad as i first initially thought. lookly i had 2 axles off a pit bike are the exact fitment so that saved me £20. trying to source some 17" or 18" rims that will fit with minimal spacing work so im thinking kx wheels or something in the kawak mx range. looking at your rebuild, i might whip the head off and check the piston and rings as ive got no idea when they last got changed, is it a simple task on 2 strokes as ive never done it before? |
