is it possible?? i'm not wanting to change the whole exhaust, just the end can (inc link pipe) to give the bike a different look.
i know there will be some modification needed, but i've searched sv650.org and google and cant seem to find any information about the differences between the 2x exhausts, and how hard it would actually be to retrofit a newer SV exhaust onto an older model.
the newer exhaust i'm fancying the look of is:

The length of the straight section on the link pipe shouldn't be an issue, and cant really see any difference - before i just order one and see how it goes, does anyone have any suggestions??

My SV sounds fearsome with a race can on. One time - for a giggle - I started it up without the end can on ... it sounded horrid!
Not seen a GP exhaust like that on an SV, but I reckon it might sound nasty ...

To be honest, i've got a slightly stubbied carbon can co exhaust on at the moment with no baffle - i'm not too fussed if it's louder / quieter - just the different look !
the GP style exhausts are not just open straight through exhausts, they still have all the gubbins inside, so cant imagine it would sound too different to my CCC exhaust i've got at the moment and they have baffles in so if anything i expect it would be quieter!
