So got a lovely surprise when the boyfriend turned up with the back of our mates car full of a Virago 750! Graduation present
Already had a 125 a while ago, then passed my DAS earlier this year.
I'll confess now that I don't really know much about bikes. So apologies for mistakes that will be made throughout this thread! Going to be learning as I go along, but hopefully by the end I'll have a bit more knowledge about bikes incase I brake down on my own, along with a nice shiny new-ish (well, as new as a 30 year-old bike can be) bike.
So just started today, cleaned up a few bits (is reeeaally quite mucky!) and I managed to paint the sub-frame (see, I'm learning the lingo already!). Had a mini tutorial from the boy. My side went a little bit like this:
'So, what does that do? Where does that go? How does the engine work? I'm so confused.'
Hopefully I'll understand some of it when it's all put together.
So, pics to follow when I've done a bit more. Might be a while til it's all done though... |

Good luck with this...If you manage to get it running and looking good - it will feel great when you`re on the road!!
A Haynes manual is probably a must though! good luck.

A bains of my life manual we have! Tits are mine, and mine only so jog on
Oh, and I'll be overseeing the project from a deckchair with a brew with the occasional "your doing it wrong, go read the book!"
