yeah tell me about it, and im a student :S. But they look really good, just like normal jeans but fairly stylish not like most out there but claim to have abrasion resistance as good as leather and ive googled the actual material used in them and they confirm it, also they come with knee and hip armour too, but at £274 i cant stretch to that :S

Given that the manufacture's web site (French... Mad ) has a Serial Number authentification There must be some problems with counterfeiting......

Then again not being real, wont have the same protection if its cheaper will it.....

Have a look again on sportsbikeshop... I checked at 22:52 and they were listed at £129.

Having said that, you can always go for a set of sartsos - nip down to technomoto next to southerncross in kilburn and try some.

Here's my review and video comparison of Sartso Killers Vs Draggin Bikers

In short, draggin aren't all they seem! But for 129, those E squad jeans at sportbikeshop look VERY tempting if the material claims turn out to be as good as they appear.

Best check that the abrasion coverage covers 3/4 length on front and rear. I pretty much don't wear anything other than my sartsos for day to day! I now have 5 sets of usual denim jeans that are redundant purely because I ride everywhere now and don't really switch my jeans over!

thanks for the info guys,
yeah i looked at the sartsos and they looked pretty good, some where reasonably fashionable and had good coverage of kevlar compared to most. These e squad jeans have no lining, the actual jean is made from something they call armalith, which i googled and it is in fact a cotton and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, which has great abrasion resistant properties, and they come with knee and hip armour ce certified too, but i think they are a little on the expensive side :/
Just wanted to know how baggy the sartso jeans are, ive looked at them and they do do regular fit jeans, but i was looking for something like a regular/slim jean if you know they do anything like that in the UK. Thanks again

Draggin bikers are regular/stretch fit.

I've got a set. Despite being comfy, I was let down by the non-lined area of the jean, pretty much just above the back of my knee. I must have nicked it against a tree branch or something and it punctured it. Nothing a bit of old glove liner and rubber glue couldn't have fixed, but it's not ideal considering they're more expensive than sartsos AND have less coverage.

I prefer the sartsos in look, feel and comfort. If you've seen my review, you can understand why I like them - makes you look like a skater when you're off the bike so it eliminates the need for me to carry a second set of jeans on a weekend.

Interestingly, you can try HOOD Jeans

They've got very good feedback too. I was going to buy the ND4, but as I was riding to london, I stopped by ducati aylesbury and ended up getting a set of sartsos instead!

yeah i know what you mean with the draggins, ive seen them in s shop near where i live and the kevlar coverage isn't great and are a tad pricey for what they are, do you know if they have pockets for the armor ??. Yeah i saw your review, was very helpful about the comparison of coverage.
Yeah seen hood jeans , they are tempting but just a bit plain. I checked sports bike shop and those E-Squad jeans were at that price but they have been discontinued as they were the clearance of the old stock.
Do need some though and boots, i'm getting a bit self conscious when i'm travelling down the dual carriageway in bike jacket jeans and trainers :S Think i might buy some boots first then wait and see if the E squad jeans get reduced, if not, i will probably invest in some sartsos. Thanks for the help Smile

On the subject of boots,

I have to sort of stretch the hems of the draggins to get my alpinestars SMX-R's on... Getting the SMX-plus to fit under the jeans will make me look like as if i've got a second joint on my shin! So Nike 6.0 Mogan Hi-tops it is!

The draggin bikers I have do NOT have provision for armour so it's a BIG disappointment. I have retrofitted some sastec armour from my redundant hein gericke textiles into the sartsos and they fit fine.

One thing that i'm hating now about the draggins are that they are low rise! So i can't really pull my trousers up, because any more and i'll be bisecting my testicles!

Ones to avoid are Red Route, but then again, you'd be lucky if you can find them because they're bust (frank thomas).

There should be no reason whatsoever for you to not be able to wear boots under your jeans. Bearing in mind the smx plus is a full spec race boot and is pretty large, it fits well under my sartsos and to an extent the draggins. A bit of a mission to get the jean bottoms over the shin armour if the boot isn;t buckled on as tightly as you can get it.

haven't replied as i've had a lot of exams recently so haven't had chance to go on. Found a French website with those E Squad jeans on for 209 euros, i think ill go for them Smile I know what you mean with boots, they look like they can go under these, but if not ill just tuck them in anyway. i know i shouldn't worry too much about what they look like but i'm young and i do and as ill be riding to my mates, etc i don't really want to look like a power ranger or a snowboarder and have to change all the time. Thanks for the advice guys

If you like the look of them then go for it. Some students spend that on a pair of diesel or replay jeans anyway.
