2 Stroke oil, mixing?

To me the answer is no, however I'll ask anyways, can you mix different branded oil?

At the moment I think, putoline? Is in it & it's rather low, you can see it, but your middle finger can't touch it, dunno how long it will last, seems to have eaten through it pretty quick, only just got this bike on Friday.

Anyhow, can I whack Castrol TTS straight in or will I have to drain the current oil?

Also, Halfords website doesn't list TTS, but it's in stock in the one I work at, got one day of bus pass remaining & £20 till Thursday

So yeah, need some oil or I'm buggered getting to work, although, weather is shit, new bus pass would be feasable, but I'd have less time in bed lol & I've knackered my waterproofs, won't say how

I'd get Putoline, but Halfords don't sell it & I don't know anywhere close by that sells it.

Then again I dunno if Putoline is any good, I was thinking TTS was the good shiz. lol

Will 1L fill up an entire tank? As that's all they've got in my price range.

How long on average should a full tank of oil last me btw?

TTS is supposed to be the best, and probably more than a good idea for an RS. I think most small 2Ts have a 1L oil tank so that'll do ya for now. And can't see how mixing it could matter as it's not even circulated, merely whatever the engine wants is sucked in when required, but am no expert on the topic.

ive mixed some putoline mx 9 some castrol stuff and millers 2stroke oil and my bike didnt go bang, its all oil lol and the tank will be a litre and you will probs have around 250ml left after a full top up. go get a can then go on the internet find where does good stuff cheapest and buy a good amount to save on shipping cost's. that wat i did, 10litres of millers for £90ish

the rs tank holds a fair bit of 2t.... litre & a half anyway......
stick to tts or any other fully synthetic. no need to drain.

As long as you don't mix mineral oil and fully synth you'll be OK.

How long should it last, when I got her, he shown me the oil level, it was erm.. About half full I think, not been long, only done about 10 mile on it, should it have gone down quick?

How long will this bit last me? I'd say it's about 1/4 of the tank now, dunno if to risk work in the morning on it (only about 4 mile trip in total) will bus it to my other job though, that's further afield & pick up some TTS.

How often do you guys 'top up' your 2 strokers? My oil light keeps coming on, it did do when it was half full, but it just blinked, now it's on all the time.
