TBF sounds like the guy was indeed 'sorry'for the whole thing but what compassion from his family to spare the defendant jail time.

Not very often you see this sort of thing. People acting as rationally as possible after a horrific thing like that happening to them.

Great respect for the family.

Begs to think if this would have saved his life.

Good on the family for being able to accept this has happened and move forwards with their lives, and leave the negativity behind, for this is really what they are doing.

Being compassionate and caring and positive is far easier to live with than permanent negativity and depression and blame and fear. Karma Thumbs Up

From a barrister and a Brusselscrat? Truly a day of wonders.

I think I'm in agreement on this one. Two decent blokes with daft hair, one moment of understandable inattention, a loose helmet (seatbelt fasteners = fail).

There's no sense in jailing the guy, he's far less likely to do it again than anybody else on the road.

Hats off the the faimly for the way they have handled this.

But these 2 quotes from the artical do not add up....

Quote:

Wright was waiting in his green Toyota to turn right into a parking space and a woman stopped to let him go.

But Mr Pride said that Wright had not looked sufficiently far down the road before turning and was not driving slowly enough.

How could he look any further down the road, with a car blocking his view, and how fast is too fast given he only went accross one lane.
