Just done a top end rebuild on my NSR and it was running great, completed running in period and got good compression etc. It also had a new thermostat and tank (SH) as the old one had rotted through

Yesterday I decided to use it for work so started it up and when I tried to ride away it would just bog so chucked it back in the garage and took the Comet.

Took it for a ride out today and it behaved for around 2 miles then I was doing around 50 when it started chugging like it was running out of petrol. I put more throttle on and it just died. It wouldn't restart without the choke on and if I took it off it would die. I stayed there for around 2 minuted blipping the throttle, put the choke off and it was fine. Travelled another 2 miles down the road and the same happened Evil or Very Mad

Choke on again and start up. I then left the choke on and the bike drove fine and didn't cut out Neutral

Carb was cleaned when i rebuilt it, plug is a fairly new iridium, jetting is standard derestricted jets and ok, air filter clean, 2 x newish inline filters fitted.

I did consider a fuel tank vacuum but it running on choke should surely discount this?

When this happens open up the petrol cap and see if you here a noise like air rushing in, you could have a blocked breather.

Thats what i thought Chris but would the fact that it'll run till the cows come home on choke discount that?

I wouldn't normally have 2 filters but I cut the new fuel line too short Embarassed

I've never had any luck with inline fuel filters, always seems to cause that issue so it's probably worth replacing with a decent size fuel line.

Thanks, I'll remove them and try to reroute the fuel line and see if that makes any difference.
