I recently bought a 125cc Vespa Piaggio 2002 and it came with a broken speedo. I took it to the local bike shop and they fixed it up no problem and gave it a service. Now three months down the line my speedo has broken again. I was riding it today to college and the speedo worked fine most of the way, I went over a few bumps and noticed that it was being irratic and by the end of the trip there it was saying '0' consistently. I touched the cable a bit and then on the return journey it worked fine up until the bottom of my road when it began saying '0' again. So I took it out an hour or so later just to see if it was working or not, but it is now permanently saying '0'. This surprises me as I got a new worm screw for it only a few months ago. Should I take it back to the shop to get it repaired or is there something I can do myself to fix it?

the worm screw in the front wheel cost pence, you just need to know which color the plastic worm is made of, usually brown, red or grey IIRC, you need to learn how to do that yourself as they do go every so often.
