I have just found out about this, basically each Wednesday night through the summer months from 8pm skaters take over the streets of London. En-mass they skate through the streets...and basically become the traffic. Smile

Made me smile when I heard about this...how come the London-dwellers here have never mentioned it?

Annoying, Mobile traffic jams.

Also take up more space than is needed for their skate...

There's a bicycle thing like this too.

Too many things happen in London that I only care about chicken burger meals for £2.50. If it's over that price then I refuse to buy it.

Because it's bloody annoying.

When I lived in Chelsea, the route would go past my house, and the noise was far more than normal traffic, as they all felt the need to keep constantly using their whistles and play loud music.

They also allow far too many skaters and newbies in it, so the convoy spreads too long and causes traffic jams, as the marshalls (illegally) block the crossing traffic. Then we have the inevitable accidents when the marshalls think everybody's gone through and then the stragglers come along, thinking the roads are still closed and go through on red.

Blimey, and there was me thinking that one the great British pastimes was moaning...a perfect opportunity for moaning missed...!!! Laughing

My excuse is that I'm not British.

I make a pretty poor Finn, too, bearing in mind that apparently, the Finns' favourite pastime is drinking and I don't drink. And it's ages since I've driven a car at 100mph around the twisty dirt roads in the countryside. And I don't think I've ever knifed anyone.
