Lock Picking :(

Hi,

not sure if this is the correct place to post but ...

was going to get my chain key and givi key cut today and locked them in the box its never happened before but i must of locked it and shut the lid... is the possible?

the other alternative is the chain is braced against the inside of the lock and it wont budge is this poss?

well either way if i need to pick this lock without breaking it or calling a locksmith is it easy? how the hell do i go about it?

ps i do realise this is going to be very difficult to answer over a forum for everyones security so if anyone can help il post my hotmail address... please done spam it lol

I don't think anyone will want to answer on how to pick a lock. Well your going have to get a locksmith on and to do the key cutting.

Bit stupid shutting keys inside with it?!

Have you tried levering up one corner and shoving your hand or a magnet in there?

was stupid but was in a rush and just chucked it in my bag and the bag in the box these things happen, as for the magnet idea think il try that cheers, will also look on google to cheers

If its a genuine Givi, you cant lock it without the key.
If the box is stuffed full, you will probably find that it is pushing the latching bar tight. Try pressing down hard on the lid and freeing the clasp off.

only joined to get help know how it looks tho lol, tried to press it down but its not helped, not sure if its a real one or not has a G on the back, came with the bike (second hand).

Taking it to a Locksmith at the weekend fingers x it doesnt get broken or cost a fortune.

ps had a look on fb, to chicken to try lol looks do able but dont want to wreck it

Where you at?

If close i can open it for you, or consider this...

... A new givi lock is less than £15, new with 2 keys so if locksmith wants £30 to open it just drill it out. (or get me to open it)

a new givi lock barrel and key is about £8, usually part number z140, just prize the thing out

Shake the bike from side to side, move the chain about inside the box. That should free it off it the chain is the problem.
