I'm doing a trackday with the Hornet Owners' next Friday. I'll be trying not to bin it this time Laughing

Has anybody rode there? I've found one, car related, track guide for it and a few onboard videos but not much from a bike point of view. Any experience would be much appreciated.

I have read the words 'mickey-mouse' used about it but to be honest, I'm not too bothered. We're going for maximum track time and cheapness (£50) as it will be a lot of peoples' first track day.

Any pointers much appreciated.

Done it a few times. Aerial shots make it look like a massive oval but in fairness it's better than that. It certainly isnt Donington/Cadwell etc but it's better than riding on the road any day of the week. It's a very physical track too

I'm also there for the Hornets Nest trackday next Friday too Cool Hopefully the weather is as good as last Friday!

Sweet video. Very hepful, particularly the speeds etc. What bike was that on? Are you a Nest member as well or are you going as someone's +1? Fast group I take it Laughing

I'll be on a blue beaten up Hornet (strange that) with lots of go-faster dents from my last trackday, wearing black BKS leathers. Bimbling around in inters/novice 2. Come and say hello if you see me... otherwise I'll just do what has now become the standard way of locating BCF members and shout 'nobcat' in a big group of people*. I think Welshy will be there too Cool

It was on a 03 636, but taking my R1 this time Shocked I'm in the Inters/Fast group, wearing a yellow vest. I'm on another forum it was advertised on, cant beat a £50 TD!

I agree with DynaMight. I've done it twice, it's a good fun little track. Well worth the money.

It's only a mile long, and a bit bumpy in places, but once you find your lines. It's great.

I did that track day with the hornet owners club too!

dont post on this forum much these days, but been looking in the trackday section cos ive really caught the bug since doing llandow

what bike were you on and which group? I was on my black bandit 600 in novice 2 group

I was the blue Hornet that DIDN'T decide to plough straight on at the chicane and do a bit of grasstracking Laughing

It was good fun but I've done two now, both have been wet Evil or Very Mad

I was there on the R1, not best equipped with only Supercorsas to choose from. Had some mild fun, but didnt attempt to push it at all. Save the fun for a dry day.
