TDM 850....Will R1 forks and yokes fit it?

I have my eye on a 2001 TDM 850.
Anyone know if R1 USD forks will fit it c/w R1 yokes,without having to remove R1 stem and replacing with TDM stem?

I haven;t heart of that conversion, I thing somebody fitting 900SS forks to one once.

I suspect you'll run into SEVERE geometry and ground clearance problems. The R1 forks must be a hell of a lot shorter?

If they are the same diameter, I wonder if the R1 lowers and cartridge would fit on the TDM stanchions? I know some Hondas are interchangeable like that.
