Blood samples have been taken and a big palm print was also found on the tank. I'll keep the thread updated when I find out more Thumbs Up

Apparently they are going to tell me who it was too.....

Struggling to get it going myself at the moment anyway, not surprised they couldn't!

My transformer is obviously in a bad mood after it's stealing Laughing

Great news on getting the bike back.
When you said it had blood on it I couldn't help thinking of this

Got her running Very Happy Turns out they blew the main fuse.

Anybody know what the third wire going to my ignition is for? Doesn't affect anything regardless of what we do with it, but it's a pretty chunky wire. It's the blue one for anybody who knows these bikes.

Google is your friend... From our very own BCF "wiring diagrams" thread none the less!
Wiring Diagram: https://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss182/hmmmnz1/Honda/cbr600f3.jpg
Wiring diagram thread, courtesy of hmmmnz (give him some karma if his thread helped you!): https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=184540

From what I can see, blue/orange wire goes to the rad fan! (via the fusebox).

Fantastic, I did look, but I was looking at F2 (thinking american model codes) and it wasn't making sense!

I'll make sure I don't sit in traffic any time soon then, I won't be doing the new ignition until Sunday. Until then it's hotwire time!

100 internets if you can tell me what the two brown wires on a VFR750 ignition switch connector block are for.

I don't actually need to know, just if you're bored and want to see something vaguely humerous.

Sure confused the hell out of me when I went to replace the ignition switch after a theft attempt (pushed it for a mile on icy pavements with rusty discs having been sat outside for 3 weeks without moving). The battery was sat in my hallway out of the frost at the time so they didn't stand much chance of sucessfully hotwiring it.

This is the wiring diagram:

Laughing Do the wire actually have a purpose or is it as pointless as the wiring diagram shows it to be?

It's exactly what it looks like but it's confusing because it's about 10" long and looped up under the wrapping (I cut it back to find out what the hell was going on because I didn't have the wiring diagram in front of me at the time. All I could see was I had five wires but only three contacts on the switch which was a bit of a head scratcher.

Hi

Well at least you know where you can get a spare length of wire from should you need it.

All the best

Big congrats on getting it back, i'm sure you must be quiet proud. Very Happy

On a side note, somebody suspected it may have been taken for track use, is there a main (or set of main) forums where people do go to talk about track use, like if you google bike forums 2 results are BCF & VD.....

I'm curious of the top 2 or 3 track bike forums - if there are any...

Met Police wrote:
Your crime has been assessed to see what opportunities exist for a further investigation and the Crime Management Unit staff have considered whether it is likely that other evidence is available to identify the person responsible for your crime. Although not relevant in every case, we have considered whether it is likely that forensic evidence exists, whether CCTV evidence could be easily recovered or whether other witnesses could be identified.

As a result of this assessment we have unfortunately concluded that it is unlikely that further significant evidence could be readily available and as a result we have closed the investigation.

Should any further evidence be forthcoming we will of course act on that information and keep you informed of further developments.

Words cannot describe the anger I feel. There was blood on the exhaust and it was parked under a fucking cctv camera. What more evidence do they want? Such a load of bollocks!

Looking at the situation with the blood, palm print and location of the CCTV where the bike was parked you'd think it's going to be pretty clear cut... No wonder no one in the modern day has faith in the Police.
