I never really bonded with the '750 Gixxer,so was on the lookout for something else. This was the 4th SP1 I looked at. A very clean 2000 (W).

Straight swap.(painless). Laughing

Fresh MOT.
2 New tyres.
New alarm/immobiliser.
C/F Front and rear huggers.
Braided lines.
Double bubble screen.
Laser cans,power commander.(mapped).
Rear 'tail tidy'.
Mini indicators.

Very nice, and great choice. Did you not look for another SP-2?

I have to say that a straight swap seems a bit steep, unless the SP-1 has <10,000 (genuine) on the clock. Even so, I'd want all the original bits (tail light/indicators/screen/rearsets/fender/exhausts) to go with it. The HRC stickers also appear to be in entirely the wrong place for some reason.

Great that you've got a mapped PCIII though. The fuelling is horrific on the 1 without, not to mention the power gains.

Good spot on the stickers,I'll investigate that. Confused

As for another SP-2,yes,was looking around, but no local dealers had anything.

I don't really have the time or paitence for a private sale,so it had to be done there and then. Surprised

The 3 others I had found disapeered at an alarming rate,so my head was set.

"The next one,is mine."

As for the OEM stuff,I'll be picking it all up,as and when it comes up.

Exhausts do look odd to my eyes, I think it may be the carbon mudguard making it look like it's riding high at the front that's throwing me. Thinking

Carbon akrapovics are the only cans for those bikes. For Colin Edwards cool points. Laughing

The front end does look a little high. Maybe the yokes have been raised to the top of the forks (they're usually dropped a good few notches).
